2022 Staff Promotions
We are beyond excited to announce the 2022 RIOS promotions. Across a multitude of design disciplines and studios, these thirty-five employees have shown tremendous passion and dedication to our projects, our teams, and to RIOS as a whole.
Say hello to three new Studio Directors, Haoran Liu, Dami Olufowoshe, and Krystal Scott.
Leading one of our Landscape Architecture studios, Haoran is a well-versed landscape director and designer creating expressive, meaningful experiences that connect to time and place. His RIOS-first enthusiasm reaches beyond projects to reflect a spirit of leadership that is apparent in our projects and strategic direction.
Dami is trusted client liaison and a versatile leader who can address realities ranging from thought leadership to project delivery. As the leader of a studio focused on Workplace and Commercial Architecture, Dami will continue to shape forward-thinking design excellence on the firm’s most transformative workplace projects.
Krystal is an articulate and skilled leader who has directed some of RIOS’ most inspired Residential and Hospitality projects. She is a true multi-disciplinary designer who considers the complete spectrum of design and she will lead a studio focused on Hospitality and Residential Interiors.
As a Managing Studio Director, Melanie Freeland will continue to guide the work of the Workplace and Hospitality studios led by Dami and Krystal. Melanie is known for her ability to deliver complex and demanding projects within project types ranging from Institutional and Hospitality, to Cultural and Residential.
Jessa Chisari will be joining our growing team of Technical Directors, representing design excellence as she focuses on the technical execution of our Landscape Architecture projects. Jessa has informed some of RIOS’ most iconic landscapes with her critical role on projects such as Wyatt Square for the Performing Arts and Grand Park.
Erin Gehle has been named Chief Marketing Officer. Erin continues to strengthen strategic initiatives, marketing, and communications at RIOS. She is responsible for positioning the firm across a multitude of channels, business development strategy, and revealing organizational stories that differentiate RIOS as a multi-disciplinary practice.
