RIOS is seeking applicants in architecture, landscape architecture, interior architecture, and experience design for summer 2023 internships. Ideal candidates are highly motivated individuals who are passionate about design, and would enjoy participating in our lively office culture. Positions will last 10 weeks, beginning June 5th – This is a paid internship.

We are seeking an architectural designer to assist and develop appropriate design solutions on multiple projects. Interested applicants must have a strong design aesthetic and be able to implement a project’s design vision from concept through completion via critical design thinking, iteration, inclusive communication, and active, creative problem solving. A minimum of 5-8+ years of professional experience.
Senior Project Designer (Multiple Locations)
We are seeking a Senior Architectural Designer to lead the execution of multiple projects from concept through completion via design leadership, strong communication and active independent and collaborative engagement. Interested applicants must have a top- tier design aesthetic and the ability to effectively mentor and guide project teams.
Senior Project Manager (Austin, TX)
RIOS is seeking a Senior Project Manager that will be responsible for ensuring that projects meet design quality, schedule, contractual, and budget goals. You will oversee project communications and tracking schedules, review construction drawings and RFIs, and evaluate and coordinate building systems, and you’ll be responsible for managing the development and oversight of projects from conception through construction and closeout. This will be an engaging position requiring strong architectural capabilities, organizational skills, and construction experience. 10+ years construction industry experience .
We are seeking a licensed Architect to assist and develop appropriate design solutions and lead the detailed design development and production of construction documents on multiple projects. Please apply if you have an extroverted personality and enjoy finding innovative solutions for documentation and technical designs in a fast-paced design studio. Strong QA/QC knowledge. A minimum of 8-10+ years of professional experience.

RIOS is looking for an Urban Designer with 5 plus years of relevant experience to shape a wide range of placemaking, framework planning, and urban design projects, as well as grow our cities practice nationally and internationally. We seek highly collaborative individuals who wish to co-create within multidisciplinary teams consisting of architects, landscape architects, experiential graphic designers, and other planners and urban designers.

Minimum 1-4 years of professional interior design/architecture experience.

Senior Project Designer – Interior Architecture
RIOS has an immediate opening for Senior Project Designer/Architect that is committed to the creation, development and mentorship of outstanding design excellence from concept through execution, with particular expertise in interior architecture. Minimum 10 years of professional interior architecture / design experience.
Experience Designer (Boulder, CO or Los Angeles, CA)
We have an immediate opening for an Experience Designer to assist and develop placemaking solutions that exist at the crossroads of graphics, interiors, landscape, and architecture for both commercial and public spaces. This may include brand expressions, wayfinding, site activations, art creation or curation, space planning, user experience, and/or digital applications as the project demands. The successful candidate will work to make an impact on the built environment through collaboration with internal and external teams of architects, landscape architects, interior designers, and clients.
Project Designer Architecture and Experience (Boulder, CO)
We are seeking an architectural designer to be part of RIOS Experience Design Studio and to collaborate on multidisciplinary projects that range in scale , scope and location. Applicants must be interested in exploring ideas-based designs that span disciplines, in order to create compelling environments for people. The ability to carry ideas through all architectural phases is central to this role. A minimum of 7 years of professional experience.

RIOS has an immediate opening for a Boulder, CO or LA based Mid to Senior Experiential Graphic Designer. You will work in a collaborative environment to create and implement branded experiences, experiential graphics, and wayfinding solutions for national and international clients.
Marketing Proposal Coordinator
We are seeking a creative, thoughtful, and organized Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our team. This role will play a key part in the success of RIOS various business goals through the production of documents and content for a variety of RIOS marketing pursuits and platforms. The ideal candidate is engaging, self-motivated, collaborative, and willing to integrate into RIOS office by learning our culture and business goals from the inside out. 2+ years of administrative experience, preferably in the AEC or professional services industries.
We are seeking a creative, thoughtful, and organized Marketing Specialist to join our team. This role will play a key part in the success of RIOS’ various business goals through the production of documents and content for a variety of RIOS marketing pursuits and platforms. The ideal candidate is engaging, self-motivated, collaborative, and willing to integrate into the RIOS office by learning our culture and business goals from the inside out. This candidate will join a passionate, considerate, and action-oriented group who values collaboration and communication, and works together to achieve audacious goals within a supportive team.
7-10+ years of experience in marketing in the design field.
We are seeking a Digital Copywriter to join our dynamic Marketing team. This role will report directly to our Chief Marketing Officer. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and interest or curiosity in architecture, design, or the arts. Interested applicants must have previous experience in storytelling across a variety of platforms and demonstrate the ability to analyze data to optimize content and grow our audience. 3-4 years of work experience copywriting in a community manager or social media manager role.
Talent Acquisition Coordinator
RIOS is seeking a passionate design recruiter with strong sourcing and people skills to help fill high volume staffing across our RIOS offices. As a member of the design recruitment team, your role will not only focus on identifying top design talent, but also working closely with HR Director and office leadership to help develop a recruitment strategy, identify, and recommend process improvements, and partner with team members in the execution of these critical components of talent acquisition. You’ll be able to successfully manage, prioritize and close searches against a tight timeline while working closely with director level leadership to help influence RIOS’s efforts towards attracting and hiring hard-to-find creative talent. 3+ years of hands-on, full cycle recruiting experience, preferably in the AEC space.
We are seeking a Knowledge Manager to lead our firm-wide knowledge management efforts. You’ll work with directors, technical leaders, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to develop and implement our knowledge management strategies. 5+ years relevant professional experience.
Project Accountant (Los Angeles, CA)
We have an immediate opening for a Project Accountant that is responsible for monitoring the progress of reports, approving expenses, and ensuring project billings are issued to customers as well as payment collection. 5+ years of experience as a Project Accountant preferably in the Architecture or Engineering field.
RIOS is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager with excellent communication and attention to detail. The Payroll Manager will oversee and supervise RIOS Payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. 5+ years of professional experience.
