The lobby transformation at 1111 Broadway features new building entries and a reimagined lobby. Located directly on top of the 12th Street City Center BART station, the lobby amenity explores design possibilities for all kinds of guests. It makes the outdoor plaza an attractive and reinvigorated space activated by human-scale elements such as seating, a private tenant patio, and modified landscaping, as well as the addition of a freestanding building for a coffee-centric tenant to occupy.
The improvements to the ground floor lobby and plaza of the 24-story 1111 Broadway office building in Oakland transforms the space with re-imagined front and rear entry doors, additional storefronts, increased access to current retail tenants, and a new security and concierge desk.
The materials of the lobby extend a feeling of hospitality to users and passersby. Now, workers pause on the sofas or at the work tables, casual meetings happen both indoors and outdoors, and the space welcomes lively collaboration and momentary pauses for its many users.
